The Boxer Rebellion

Around this time last year The Boxer Rebellion released their album “Union”. Since then it has caught fire and spread all over. It wasn’t until this album did they gain the majority of their fame. The album was even crowned the number one alternative album of 2009 by iTunes. All that is really cool and good for them because that’s awesome, they deserve it. But, here at the Music Scientists blog we just care about how it sounds and makes us feel. This album has been on heavy rotation for me as of late. I can’t help but find myself in a happy mood while listening to the lofty soprano voice and captivating melodies of each track. At times I feel like they sound like a mixture of Sigur Ros and Keane with a rhythmic hint of The Album Leaf. Anyways, here a some tracks off of “Union” to sample. Hope you enjoy what you hear. Feel free to leave a comment, express your opinion.
