Blind Pilot in Salt Lake City

Over the weekend Blind Pilot stopped in Salt Lake City to play a show. Over Thanksgiving Nate drove from Idaho to Vegas to be with his sister, and on the way back he stopped in SLC to see Blind Pilot with me. Before the show, while we were hanging out he told me how he had misplaced his drivers license a while back. That means this bone head drove all the way from Idaho to Vegas to Salt Lake without a license. Well, anyways, while waiting in line to get into the venue I remembered that Nate didn’t have any i.d. on him. And upon entering the show they card you to verify that you are 21. So I was like “Dude, what are you gonna do, they’re gonna card you.” He said ever so calmly, “Don’t worry about it.” Even with all of Nate’s charm and charisma he was unable to persuade the venue worker to let him in. One of the guys working the door said, “Hey man, for all I know you could be 18.” Yeah right, Nate’s got gray hair and full beard. But, sadly Nate stuck it out and listened to the faint sounds of Blind Pilot outside in the cold. So, now I thought I would have to enjoy the show by myself. But the lovely Andrea has perfect timing and made it to the show just minutes before Blind Pilot took the stage. This was the first time she saw Blind Pilot live. And she looooved it! We both had a great time dancin and clapping our hands. Sorry you had to miss out Nate, you would have loved it. Their performance was just tremendous. They are for sure one of my favorites to see live. The footage from the show are their songs “Buried A Bone” and “Get It Out”. “Get It Out” is an unreleased song, I’m hoping It’ll appear on their forthcoming album. It’s my new favorite song by them. My camera is terrible at capturing video. I do apologize.
