Taken By Trees

Taken By Trees is the moniker of Victoria Bergsman’s solo endeavor. And East of Eden is her most recent album. Instead of taking a more traditional approach to recording an album, Bergsman packed her bags and headed to Pakistan where she recorded East of Eden. Upon listening to the album one can notice well the Pakistani influences she absorbed while abroad. Often times one can hear Sufi chants, a harmonium, or an occasional zither. I’ve found these influences to be incredibly fascinating. Listening to her fragile Swedish voice rends the listener to an introspective peaceful state of mind. Give these following songs a listen to. If you’re looking for something new, this is certainly the stuff for you.
